The Denim Edit: Styling Denim Skirts, Shorts & More (S–3X)
Denim is the closet workhorse that never asks for credit. It goes with everything, ages beautifully, and somehow looks right whether you're running errands or meeting friends for dinner. And it's so much more than jeans — let's talk skirts, shorts, and the easy ways to wear them.
Denim skirts: midi, maxi, A-line
A denim skirt is the surprise hero of summer. A flowy A-line midi reads romantic with a tucked blouse; a maxi feels effortlessly cool with a fitted tank and sandals. The longer lengths are quietly flattering — they skim the hip and give you a long, easy line. Tuck something in to define your waist and you're golden.
Denim shorts, done right
The trick to denim shorts you'll actually reach for is a higher rise and a length you feel good in — a mid-thigh or Bermuda cut is endlessly wearable and never fussy. Pair with a breezy top and slides for daytime, or a structured blouse and a wedge to dress them up.
Dress it up or down
Denim's superpower is its range. The same denim skirt that's casual with a tee turns polished with a silky cami and a heel. Lean into the contrast — a little "high-low" mix (denim plus something soft or dressy) always looks intentional.
Caring for your denim
Wash it less than you think, turn it inside out, and hang or lay it flat to dry to keep the color and the fit. Good denim only gets better with time — treat it well and it'll be in your rotation for years.
Denim for every size
Great denim shouldn't stop at a certain size, and ours doesn't — every piece comes S to 3X, cut to actually fit. Because the best denim is the kind you forget you're wearing.
